Carl Theiss started covering high school athletics in 1980, working for many of the largest newspapers and magazines in Texas. In 2015, he began broadcasting for Legacy Sports Network. Theiss was the longtime Media Coordinator for the Texas High School Coaches Association (THSCA). In 2020, he helped start the Athletics Department Statistics for high school districts and teams.
